a record of vision and common sense for sylvania
Dear Neighbors:
About Mark
Re-elect Mark Luetke in November
Over the past four years I have spent significant time and energy as a member of Sylvania City Council working on the transformational plan for our downtown that will create new jobs, strengthen the tax base, and enhance property values for our community.
While much of the planning is finished, implementation will take several more years -- and I intend to see it through. Therefore, I have committed to run for a third term on Sylvania City Council in the November 8th election.
I have tried to bring vision and common sense to my past 7-1/2 years of service on Council – just as I did during my previous term as president and member of the Sylvania Board of Education. Looking forward, I will continue to focus on three key areas:
- Financial discipline – making sure City government lives within its means, supporting prudent tax relief, and assuring delivery of the quality services citizens deserve
- Community development and job creation – serving as Council point-person on the South of Monroe Street (SOMO) commercial redevelopment, the River Trail bike and walking path, and beautification of the Monroe Street Gateway … plus advocating for retail revitalization of our historic Downtown.
- Fast-response citizen service – solving constituent issues big and small by being accessible and willing to listen to all concerns, particularly continuing my “Eight Hour Guarantee” of responding to phone calls and e-mails from the public within eight hours of contact.
As always, feel free to contact me at any time with any comments, questions or ideas.
Meanwhile, I hope I can count on your support during my re-election campaign and at the Polls on November 8.
Mark
